Abstract
Ikerketa honetan, Nafarroako Aratxea izendapenean (BIG, Babestutako Izendapen Geografikoa) ekoiztutako Piriniar arrazako txekorren ongizatea ebaluatu zen gizendegi komertzial batean. Helburu nagusia elikadurak ongizatean izan dezaken eragina aztertzea izan zen, bi elikadura mota alderatuz, bata pentsu eta lastoan oinarritutakoa (kontrola) eta bestea azpiproduktu begetaletan oinarritutakoa. Ustiategiaren barruan, 4 txekor talde ebaluatu ziren, 6 animalia bakoitzeko (bi kontrol dietarekin eta bi azpiproduktuetan oinarritutako dietarekin). Oro har, ondoriozta daiteke ongizatea egokia izan zela talde guztietan, pentsu mota edozein dela ere, eta horrek atea irekitzen dio azpiproduktu begetalak animalien elikaduran erabiltzeko aukerari.
In this study, the welfare of Pininear young bulls, reared under the PGI Ternera de Navarra, was evaluated in a commercial fattening farm. The main objective was to analyze the effect of feeding on animal welfare, comparing two diets, one based on fodder and straw (control) and the other based on vegetable by-products. Within the farm, 4 groups of calves were evaluated, 6 animals per group (two fed on a control diet and two based on by-products). In general, it can be concluded that the welfare was adequate in all feed lots, regardless of the type of feed, which opens the door to the possibility of using vegetable by-products in animal rationing.
