Abstract

Maitasunak Xabier Leteren kantagintzan duen lekua errepasatzen du lan honek. Kontzeptu horrekinlotuta gehien errepikatu zituen hitzak kuantifikatzen ditu, batetik; eta bestetik, maitasunaren dimentsioezberdinak sailkatzen ditu: adiskidetasuna, leialtasuna, harremanen zailtasunak eta galeraren beldurra.Abestien letrak fideltasunez interpretatzeko, artistaren biografia eta adierazpenak erkatu dira. Letek,maitasunezko abestiak idazten zituen arren, bere ahotsean halako gutxi argitaratu zituen. Kantatuzituenetan bestelako gai nagusiekin (heriotzarekin edo aberriarekin) uztartuta egin zuen.This work reviews the importance of love in Xabier Lete's songbook. The research quantifies, onthe one hand, words that are related to this concept; and, on the other hand, it catalogs dimensions oflove: friendship, fidelity, difficulties of being involved in a relationship, and the fear of loss. The poet'slyrics have been contrasted with the author's biography and testimonies in order to interpret themfaithfully. Lete wrote several love songs, but very few of them were published in his albums; and whenhe did it, he chose to link them to other important concepts such as death or the struggle for identity.
