Abstract
Ikerketa honek Zergatik panpox (1979) eleberrian (hiri-)espazioak dituen funtzio, erabilera eta esanahiak aztertuko dira. Horretarako, marko teorikoa kritika feministan oinarrituko da, honakoak izanik gako nagusiak: hiri modernoaren izaera baztertzailea, publiko-pribatu dikotomiaren kritika, zein flâneur-aren irudia. Hala, erreferentzia horiek aintzat izanik, arakatuko da nola irudikatu duen Urretabizkaiak hiria emakumezko protagonista baten bidez. Ondorioz, hiri modernoaren berrirakurketa bat aurkituko dugu, ulerkera androzentrikotik at, begirada feminista batetik emakumeen esperientzia urbanoan ardaztutako literaturari bidea irekitzen diona.
This essay will focus on the urban space in Zergatik panpox (1979), analysing the purposes, uses and meanings of it in the novel. With this aim, the theoretical framework will be based on feminist theory, as these are the major keys to develop the investigation: the discriminatory nature of the modern city, the critique towards the public-private dichotomy and the figure of the flâneur. Having these references, the paper will seek to address the main question: how had Urretabizkaia represented the city by means of a female character? The results suggest a re-reading of the modern city out of the androcentric logic, which opens a path towards a female experience-based urban literature.
