Abstract
Gaixotasun kutsakorren artean munduan heriotza gehien eragiten dutenak arnasbideetako infekzioak dira eta horren adibide izan daiteke COVID-19 birusa. Hala ere, badira gizakiak kaltetzen dituzten beste patogeno batzuk ere: Bordetella pertussis bakterioak, esaterako, kukutxeztula eragiten du. Bakterio honek ostalaria inbaditzeko erabiltzen dituen mekanismoetako bat adenilato ziklasa toxina da (ACT). Toxina honen eta zelula ostalariaren arteko elkarrekintza sakon ikertu da. Hala ere, zelularen inbasiorako erabiltzen duen mekanismo molekularra oraindik ez da zehaztasunez deskribatu. Respiratory infections cause the great majority of deaths among contagious diseases. There are several pathogens that infect humans, for example: Bordetella pertussis bacteria cause whooping-cough. Adenylate Cyclase Toxin (ACT) is one of the mechanisms used by this bacterium to invade the host. The interaction between the toxin and the host cell has been studied in depth. However, the molecular mechanisms used for cell invasion have not been accurately described yet. This study analyses the possible influence of membrane-cholesterol in the toxin/membrane interaction.
