Abstract

Zeliakiari aurre egiteko dagoen tratamendu bakarra bizitza osoan glutenik gabeko elikadura hartzea da, glutenik ez izateaz gain orekatua izan behar duena. Beraz, zeliakoen ongizatea, bizi-kalitatea eta osasuna elikaduraren mende daude zuzenean. Lan honen helburua izan da EAEko zeliako helduen elikadura-azturak aztertzea. Batetik, dietak proteina, gantza eta kolesterol gehiegi eta karbohidrato eta zuntz gutxiegi biltzen zituen, desorekatua zela ondorioztatuz. Bestetik, elikagai taldeen kontsumoaren banaketa ezegokia zela behatu zen. Populazio orokorrarekin konparatzean dietaren nutriente banaketa antzerakoa izan bazen ere, nutrienteen elikadura-iturriak ezberdinak ziren. Beraz, zeliakoentzako elikadura-jarraibide espezifikoak garatu behar dira.
The only effective treatment for celiac disease is a strict gluten-free diet for the whole life, which must be not only gluten-free but also nutritionally balanced. Thus, quality of life and health of celiac people depends directly on diet. The aim of the present work was to study the food habits of celiac adults from Basque Country. Diet was unbalanced due to a very low carbohydrate and fiber consumption and an excessive protein, fat and cholesterol intake. Moreover, the consumed amounts of different food groups were also inadequate. Although nutrient distribution of the diet was similar to that of general population, the food source of these nutrients was different. Thus, specific nutritional education needs to be provided to celiac people.
