Due to their amphipathic behavior, they are commonly found in the blood or urine of almost all population, being diet and drinking water the main sources of exposure. Although thousands of PFAS exist, only a few are monitored, suggesting that exposure can be underestimated. On the other hand, chronic exposure to sublethal levels can cause health problems in children, such as endocrine disruption or learning disability. Thus, the aim of this work is to quantify a broad spectrum of PFAS in 4- and 8-years children’s plasma samples from Gipuzkoa.
