Azkenik, oharmen-analisian eta analisi-akustikoan lortutako emaitzen arteko konparaketa egin da bi prozesuen artean paralelotasunik dagoen, edo aitzitik, prozesu batek bestearen garapenean eraginik ez duen egiaztatzeko.The focal point of this study is the perception and production of Basque sibilants by adult learners of Basque whose L1 is Spanish. The Basque language has six sibilants as opposed to Spanish which only has two sibilants in its phonological system. For that reason, first, an analysis of the way in which the learners perceive the six sibilants was carried out: the learners know two of these sibilants ̶ /s̺ / y /tʃ/ ̶ as they exist in their L1, but the other four ̶ /s̻ /, /ʃ/, /ts̻ / y /ts̺ / ̶ do not exist in their L1. Secondly, another analysis was done about the production of these sibilants by the same learners and the results were analyzed acoustically.
