Abstract
Atomoen arteko elkarrekintza magnetiko guztiak aldiberean bete daitezkeenean materialeko momentumagnetikoek egitura sinple eta egonkorra lortzen dute.Baina beste zenbaitetan, atomoen artekoelkarrekintza magnetiko guztiak ezin dira aldiberean bete eta, ondorioz, indar guztien arteko orekalortzeko egitura konplexuak eraikitzen dituzte momentu magnetikoek. Egitura horiek, askotan, mate-rialetan agertzen diren fenomeno fisikoen jatorrian daude, multiferroizitatea, besteak beste. Gehienetankanpo eremuen edota ordezkapen kimikoen bidez alda daiteke egitura magnetiko horien egonkortasu-na eta baita ere horri lotuta agertzen diren propietate fisikoena, materialaren ezaugarri fisikoak moldatuz.
Usually the magnetic interaction between the atoms in a material can be satisfied simultaneously givingrise to rather simple magnetic structures. Nevertheless, in some materials this is not the case and it maylead to complex structures. These complex structures are very often in the base of the physical phenomenaappearing in the material, such as multiferroicity. The subtle balance between the magnetic interactioncan be modified by external fields or chemical substitution, giving rise to new magnetic structures andnew properties.
