dc.description.abstract | Jaioberrietan gertatzen den garuneko kalte iraunkorren arrazoi nagusia hipoxia perinatala da, jaiotzen %1-6 inguruan jazotzen baita. Pertsona hauetako asko hil egiten dira, eta bizirik jarraitzen dutenek hainbat urritasun garatzen dituzte, besteak beste, koordinazio motorra, zein kognizioa eta jokabidearekin erlazionaturikoak. Azken urteotan, kannabinoideak etorkizun oparoko agente neurobabesle gisa azaleratu dira, hainbat garuneko kaltetan. dc.description.abstract | Perinatal hypoxic-ischemic (HI) encephalopathy is the principal reason for permanent brain damage in new-borns, with a 1-6% incidence. Many of these new-borns die, but those who survive develop severe disabilities such us cognition delays, coordination impairments and behavioural alterations. In the last years, cannabinoids (CBs) have emerged as promising neuroprotective agents, in several brain damages. One of these compounds is the phytocannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) which prevents brain damage caused by HI in several animal models. In this project, we have studied the effects of CBD in brain areas damaged by HI at structural level. | en |
