| dc.description | This research is based on several authors´ contribution to a new old adult profile. Some authors discuss about a change in this population. In order to state that idea, they use several concepts like a new old adult profile (Canes and García, 1989), new aging (Bazo, 1992; 1996; 2000) and new retired (De Zayas, 1996). Although the authors do not agree with the concept to be used, they do agree in stating that the new profile of old adult has some characteristics that distinguish them from former generations (i.e., economic resources, accurate education level, before mandatory retirement, good health and participation in activities). Therefore, bearing into account that old adults have special and significant distinctions, our suggestion is to analyse the sociodemographic and psychosocial characteristics of the new old adult profile in order to describe the current retired profile. | en-US |
| dc.description | Erretiratuen soslai berriaren inguruan hainbat egilek egindako ekarpenak aintzat hartu dira ikerketa honetan. Hain zuen ere, egun, egile batzuek erretiratuen soslaiaren aldaketaz hitz egiten dute. Ideia hori adierazteko, hainbat kontzeptu erabiltzen dituzte, besteak beste, erretiratuen soslai berria (Canes eta García, 1989), zahartzaro berria (Bazo, 1992; 1996; 2000) eta erretiratu berria (De Zayas, 1996). Erabili beharreko kontzeptuan ados ez egon arren, egile horien arabera, egungo erretiratua aurreko belaunaldietakoengandik bereizten da eta zenbait ezaugarri zehatz ditu: baliabide ekonomikoak izatea, hezkuntza-maila egokia izatea, gazte erretiratzea, osasun-egoera ona izatea eta jarduerak egitea, besteak beste.
