Euskal kostako estuarioetan bertakoa ez den zooplanktonaren eraginaren analisia

Abstract

Ekosistemen biodibertsitate eta funtzionamenduaren gaineko mehatxu nagusietako bat bertakoak ez diren espezieen (BEDE) sartzea da, eta haien balizko inbaditzaile-bilakaera. Sistema sentikorragoak diren estuarioetan agerikoagoa delarik. Azken hamarkadetan, BEDE diren hiru kopepodo (Acartia tonsa, Oithona davisae eta Pseudodiaptomus marinus) Bilboko eta Urdaibaiko estuarioetan agertu dira. A. tonsa espeziearen kasuan, Bilboko barne-estuarioan kopepodo nagusia bilakatu delarik. Hala ere, ez da ezaguna hiru espezie horien bertako zooplankton-komunitateen egitura, dinamika eta funtzionamenduaren gaineko eragina, ezta euskal kostaldeko gainontzeko estuarioetara balizko hedapena ere. Ikerketa honetako emaitzek aspektu horiek guztiak argitzeko xedea dute.

One of the most concerning hazards on ecosystem biodiversity and its functioning is the introduction of non-indigenous species, which are able to become invasive. This phenomenon is more relevant in systems that are more vulnerable as estuaries. In the last decades, the occurrence of three NIS copepods (Acartia tonsa, Oithona davisae eta Pseudodiaptomus marinus) in the estuaries of Bilbao and Urdaibai was observed. A. tonsa for instance, has become the dominant species of the inner part of the estuary of Bilbao. However, the impact of those species on the structure, dynamic and functioning of the native zooplankton community is unknown, as well as, their spread to other estuaries of the Basque coast. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine those aspects.
