Abstract
Psilozibina eraginkortasun antidepresiboa duen haluzinatzaile naturala da. Bere ekintza mekanismoa nahiko ezezaguna da. Hori dela eta, lan honetan, psilozibinaren ekintza mekanismo akutua aztertu da monoamina maila estrazelularrak ebaluatuz, kortex frontalean egindako garun-mikrodialisia in vivo teknika erabiliz. Erabilitako dosian, 1 mg/kg hain zuzen, ez da monoaminen kontzentrazioan aldaketa esanguratsurik ikusi eta, beraz, psilozibinaren ekintza antidepresiboak, egungo antidepresiboen kasuan ez bezala, ez du erlazio zuzenik kortex frontaleko monoaminen mailen igoerarekin.
Psilocybin is a natural hallucinogenic compound that has been shown to have potential antidepressant effects. However, the mechanism of action is largely unknown. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the effect of psilocybin on the frontal cortex monoamine extracellular concentrations using in vivo brain microdialysis technique. At the dose used (1 mg/kg), no significant changes in monoamine concentration were observed. This leads to the conclusion that the antidepressant mechanism of action of psilocybin, unlike current antidepressants, does not primarily involve an increase in extracellular monoamines in frontal cortex.
