Hipokanpoaren mendeko portaeren eta endokannabinoide sistemaren aldaketak loki-lobuluko epilepsiaren animalia-eredu batean

Abstract

Loki-lobuluko epilepsia (LLE) askotan epilepsiaren aurkako medikamentuekin trataezina den epilepsia partzial mota bat da. LLEn gehiegizko neurona-jarduera hipokanpoan gertatzen da, besteak beste. LLEdun pertsonek oroimen arazoak pairatzen dituztela deskribatu da. Bestalde, euren endokannabinoide (eKB) sisteman ere aldaketak gertatzen direla ikusi da, hala nola, CB1 hartzailearen adierazpenaren murrizketa. eKB sistema, eta bereziki CB1 hartzailea, oroimen-prozesuetan parte hartzen duela frogatu da. Horrez gain, CB1 hartzaileek epilepsia-krisien larritasunean erantzukizun handia izan lezakete. Gure helburua, LLEren animalia-eredu batean portaera mailan nahiz maila zelularrean gertatzen diren aldaketak aztertzea da, CB1 hartzailean arreta jarriz.
Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is a type of partial epilepsy which is often resistant to anti-epileptic drugs. In TLE, unconventional neuronal activity takes place in the hippocampus, among other brain areas. TLE patients frequently show memory disorders. Moreover, they usually present alterations in the endocannabinoid (eCB) system, such as a reduction in the expression of the CB1 receptor. It has been shown that the eCB system, and specially the CB1 receptor, participates in memory processes. Furthermore, CB1 receptors could be directly connected with the severity of the epileptic seizures. Our aim is to study the behavioural and the cellular changes that occur in an animal model of TLE, focusing on the CB1 receptor.
