Abstract
Ur gazte frakzioa (Fug) jarioan doan edo biltegiratuta dagoen ur masa baten 2-3 hilabete baino gazteagoa den ur proportzioa da. Informazio hau baliagarria da ibai-arro bateko gainazaleko isurketen sortze-prozesuak ulertzeko. Can Vila arro mediterraneoan (Pirinioen HE-a) lurzoruko, lurrazpiko eta errekako uretan kalkulatu da Fug, prezipitazioaren eta aipatutako konpartimentu hidrologiko bakoitzaren oxigeno-18 isotopoaren urtaroko zikloak alderatuz. Fug handiena lurzoruko uretan topatu da. Errekako eta lurrazpiko uretan ordea, ur gazte frakzioa errekako ur-emariaren eta lurrazpiko ur-mailaren araberakoa da, ia zerora murrizten delarik ur-emari eta ur-maila baxuetan. Ikerlan honek, arro mediterraneo batean lehen aldiz aztertutako Fug balioak aurkezten ditu.
The young water fraction (Fyw) is defined as the proportion of water in a stored or flowing mass that is younger than 2-3 months. It is a useful metric for better understanding the runoff generation processes in a catchment. Fyw was calculated in soil, ground and stream waters at the Mediterranean catchments of Can Vila (SE Pyreness) from the comparison of seasonal cycles of oxygen-18 isotope between precipitation and each hydrological compartment. The results show that soil waters exhibit rather large Fyw, while young water fractions in stream and ground waters were strongly related to discharges and water table variations, decreasing to practically zero for both low discharges and water levels. No Fyw values of Mediterranean catchments were available before this study.
