Abstract

Euskal Herriaren isurialde atlantiarreko landa-paisaia gizartearen eta ingurugiroaren arteko epe luzeko elkar-eragin konplexuen ondorioa da. Lau landa-guneren azterketa diakronikoak erakusten duenez, tokiko komunitateek abagune sozio-ekonomiko desberdinetara egokitzeko gaitasuna erakutsi dute ia bi mila urtez. Giza-talde hauek Historiaren subjektu pasibo gisa aurkezten dituzten ikuspegi tradizionalen aurrean, haien erresilientziaren ikerketak ukatu izan zaien protagonismoa itzultzeko marko teoriko aproposa da, landa-paisaiaren bilakaera orokorra birpentsatzeko bideak irekiz.The rural landscapes of the Atlantic areas of the Basque Country are the result of complex interaction between society and environment operating in the long term. As revealed by the diachronic study of four rural settlements, the local communities have developed successful adaptational strategies to different socio-economic circumstances over the last ∼2000 years. Instead of the traditional views on peasantry as a passive subject of History, the assessment of rural landscapes as potentially resilient environments opens new paths to study the role of local communities in their construction and reproduction over time.
