| dc.description | Legutiano has a vital role when attempting to verify theories on the creation of the basque nationalism. In fact, the birth-appearance of the Basque National Party is related to the crisis created by the early industrialization of Biscaye. This is the contrary, in the case of the province of Alava, where industrialization came later. As a result, it is understandable that the development of nationalism in this territory was weaker. However, there does exist, from the second republic on, villages in Alava that met nationalism with open arms. Legutiano is one of them. How can we explain this fact? | en-US |
