| dc.description | This paper presents a general overview of Basque literature in the 1950s. Due to space restrictions, the overview and the summaries of the works considered cannot be exhaustive. The issues discussed in detail include the debate on the model of literary Basque, the evolution of the ideas in that debate and, in illustration of these issues, I offer a sample of the work developed by some of the best authors in each of the different language models defended at the time. | en-US |
